Storage conditions and care
Properly organized storage conditions for bed linen sets (bed linen sets) will help increase their service life without losing the characteristics declared by the manufacturer.

One and a half sets
At the moment, the minimum size that can be found on sale is 1.5 bedroom. For a single bed, even standard sizes of bed linen are not indicated anywhere except in old Soviet reference books. The usual equipment for a semi-truck is: a duvet cover, a sheet and 2 (most often) pillowcases. It is designed for 1 or two people and a sleeping place up to 120-140 cm. Important:
- The inscription Single or 1-bed on the package means that only 1 pillowcase is included.
- German and Austrian sets often come without a sheet, just a duvet cover and pillowcases.

Quite often, many people encounter the problem of the first wash: as soon as the new set was washed, the fabric shrunk and no longer fit the pillow and blanket. Bedding size according to GOST standard
Since January 1, 2007, a general interstate standard for the size of bed linen has been introduced on the territory of the Russian Federation (GOST 31307–2005).
Based on this GOST, the same dimensions are used by the standardization bodies of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and other former republics of the Soviet Union. Linen set includes: 2 pillowcases, duvet cover, sheet. This list of bedding items is accepted as standard content; it is possible to sell it in incomplete configurations. The range of bed linen is divided into the following groups of sets:
- children's sets;
- family kits
- double sets
- euro kits
- one and a half sets.
The width and length of items in one set may vary, so you must carefully inspect the packaging of the headset. Otherwise, you can purchase a PCB that does not correspond to the dimensions of a pillow, mattress or blanket.

Single
The size of a single blanket is designed for one adult whose weight does not exceed 90 kg.
In addition to the parameters indicated in the table, products are produced in dimensions close to one-and-a-half-size beds: 130x180, 130x190, 140x190, 140x200.
It is more comfortable to sleep under these, since their length is longer than that of standard one-and-a-half-piece products.
The concept of “single” is very rare, because even in the Soviet GOST it was not indicated, but now it refers to the standard dimensions of a one and a half.
One and a half
A one-and-a-half-piece product is often called a family product.
The size of the family blanket from the range of single-and-a-half-sleeping blankets is the largest in width: 155x215, 160x220, 165x200. This product can easily cover two people of average build.
There is also a second version of the product under this name. A family set of two one-and-a-half-length blankets is also called a set - for those who like to cover themselves separately.
The size of a one-and-a-half blanket, except for the family one, can be: 140x205, 145x210, 150x200, 150x210, 150x215, 150x220. But the easiest way to find a set of bed linen is the most popular size 155x215.
By the way, the name “one and a half” came about precisely because of the standard width of 1.5 m.
Double
The size of a double blanket for Russia is determined by three basic values: 200x220; 195x215; 175x205. Please note that it is easiest to choose Euro bedding for the size 195x215.

As an example, let’s take a table with parameters according to GOST from 2005, valid for Russia and some countries of the former USSR. Pay attention to the minimum width of the sheet for a double set: only 138 cm. This is easily explained by GOST standards (also 2005) for household furniture, according to which the minimum width of a double bed is 110 cm.

At the moment, textile manufacturers are not obliged to strictly follow the dimensions of a double bed linen set, the standards of which are prescribed in GOST: these figures are rather advisory in nature. Today there are no strict regulations regarding the parameters of bed linen in other countries that import bed linen to Russia. Therefore, what today we call “standard sizes” are parameters based on reality: the width of a bed or sofa, which is usually called a double, starts from 140 cm.
