Learn how to sew bloomers for women with your own hands

Fabric selection

Before sewing bloomers, you need to prepare the necessary tools and purchase the appropriate material. It is best to sew this wardrobe item from thin, easily draped fabric. Viscose, cotton or silk with a crash effect are ideal.

As for colors, absolutely any options are suitable for bloomers. It all depends on individual preferences. Before sewing a harem skirt, the pattern and material should be selected in advance and immediately begin transferring the details onto the fabric.

How to sew bloomers for oriental dance
Silk, silk satin, crepe-satin, chiffon, of course, are suitable for bloomers. But be careful with chiffon, it may turn out to be too transparent, so either sew in two layers, or opt for crepe chiffon, for example, it is just as light but much less transparent.

First measure s

– the distance from the place of the supposed top of the trousers to the floor + 15-20 centimeters. The increase will go not only to the seams, but also to avoid repeating the funny model in the left picture:

We, of course, want the legs to end in nice pleats, like the one on the right.

The width of one trouser leg is approximately 70-100 cm, a little more, a little less, it doesn’t play a special role.:) The main thing is not to narrow it. If the width of the selected fabric is 140-150 cm, then take s

cm. If the width is 90-110, then take
2s
.

We will sew bloomers with slits on the sides.

Cut the fabric into 2 pant legs. Take one rectangle (one future pant leg) and fold it in half lengthwise. On the fold side, set aside 10 cm along the edge and 15-25 cm along the fold. This size, 15-25 cm, is individual, measure on yourself: the distance from the estimated top edge of the trousers to the crotch. Mark the measured distances with dots, connect them with a smooth arc and cut out:

Repeat the same procedure with the second pant leg. In general, you can immediately fold both rectangles together and cut along the arc on both legs at the same time. But, in my opinion, it’s better to do it separately... less likely to make a mistake :)

Now we connect both rectangles together, right sides inward and, after basting, sew along the arc line.

After this, we sew the side seams of each pant leg. Sew them at the top by 7-10 cm, at the bottom by five.

The belt can be made with an elastic band, or you can sew in a zipper. If you are sewing a zipper, you need to measure the volume of the hips at the intended top of the trousers and calculate the difference between this figure and the resulting width of the trousers. Remove the difference by adding beautiful folds to the fabric. Also, you need to create “cuffs” at the bottom of each pant leg using an elastic band.

Process the cuts on the sides of the legs as follows:

You can connect the slits of the trouser legs at the knee level, or you can grab them in several places along the entire length of the trouser leg. Decorate the junction with a beautiful shiny applique.

Bloomers are ready :)

Ukrainian bloomers

As soon as all the necessary tools and material are ready, you should begin preparing the pattern for the harem pants. To do this, you need to make appropriate measurements.

To sew bloomers, the pattern must be made correctly and accurately. To do this, calculations and measurements must be carried out carefully. After everything is transferred to the fabric, the blank is cut out.

Subsequently, all that remains is to sew the resulting parts on the wrong side, and decorate the belt and cuffs.

Sewing bloomers with your own hands

If you need to sew harem pants, but for certain reasons it is not possible to make a pattern for women’s oriental trousers, then you should not despair in such a situation. You can sew such trousers on the basis of any existing trousers. To do this, you need to perform the following step-by-step steps:

As a result of such actions, you will get two parts of the pattern.

Men's linen harem pants

Note! To make the trousers wide, you need to add a few centimeters to the allowance and do not forget to leave one centimeter for the seams.

After the pattern of harem trousers for a woman is ready, you need to cut out two identical parts of the front and back parts. Then the parts should be sewn along the wrong side. The belt must be folded in half and a stripe sewn for the elastic. On the lower part of the legs, the cuffs are sewn in the same way.

To sew women's trousers, a pattern is an essential condition. If you have it, you can easily sew this Arabic wardrobe item with your own hands.

As practice shows, the standard pattern of bloomers for women suits most of them. But it happens that a representative of the fair sex has a non-standard figure, and as a result, a reconstruction of the pattern is required. This is mainly necessary if we are talking about an overweight woman. In this case, you can add as much width as you like, depending on the size. In this case, only the first part changes, but both parts must be changed in length.

How to sew an afghani

Trousers with a greatly reduced crotch are called Afghanis. This bright piece of clothing attracts attention and offers a wide variety of combinations, textures, shapes and colors. When worn, such trousers are convenient and comfortable; they are worn not only by ordinary people, but also by models, actresses and singers.

Green Afghani pants for men

Initially, Indian Afghani trousers were part of the exclusively masculine wardrobe of eastern men. The first woman to introduce them was the courtesan and famous dancer Mata Hari. At that time, her action caused a storm of indignation, after which women for a long time did not dare to wear them. Only fashionistas of the 20th century allowed themselves to wear this extraordinary item and walk in it on the street.

Sewing your own afghani is very easy. To do this, it is enough to have basic sewing skills.

Women's afghani

First of all, you need to purchase the material. You can give preference to linen, cotton, fine knitwear or light chintz. The most important thing is that the stretch content in the fabric is minimal. Fabric consumption is determined in each case individually depending on how wide the pants are.

In this case, an afghani pattern will not be needed. You just need to prepare a rectangular piece of fabric. Its width should be equal to the length of the future trousers, and the length should be three times the width.

The lack of a pattern for Afghani pants is explained by the fact that sewing them is simple and elementary. All you need to do is follow these steps:

  1. Lay out the fabric on a flat surface and make markings.
  2. Divide the cut into three equal squares.
  3. Fold the material diagonally into the middle square.
  4. Gather the bottom of the pants with an elastic band or drawstring.
  5. Make a wide cuff at the waist.
  6. Decorate the trousers depending on individual preferences.

Women's Afghani trousers according to the pattern are sewn only by beginning seamstresses or those who have no experience.

Features of Afghani pants

Professional seamstresses sew such a garment quickly and without patterns. Today, afghanis are present both in women's clothing and in men's and children's clothing.

Aladdins, Zouaves and Afghanis

The oriental style of clothing boasts constant luxury and originality in every detail. At the same time, oriental harem pants are an invariable part of any image. These trousers can be of different types. Whether to choose universal Zouaves, fabulous Aladdins or stylish Afghanis is up to each individual to decide. If it’s difficult to make a choice, then you can pamper yourself and sew any bloomers for yourself with your own hands. Moreover, the pattern for pants with a motney is very simple to construct. It is enough to take minimal measurements and have basic sewing skills to sew the product.

Festive bloomers for a boy for the holiday

To sew men's bloomers, the pattern does not require changes; the one needed for women's pants will do. This also applies to children's pants. For both boys and girls, trousers are made in most cases for holidays or dance classes.

Sewing children's bloomers using a pattern is very simple; for this you do not need to have professional sewing skills.

To complete the work, you first need to take measurements and transfer them to paper, and then to fabric. Cut out blanks from the material and stitch them on the wrong side. As a sample, you can take any children's trousers available. The pattern of bloomers for girls is made in the same way.

Children's satin bloomers

Afghani pattern

Sewing Aladdin or Afghani pants is relatively simple. This is especially true when preference is given to models with a low waist. In this case, the shalwar pattern has only two seams on the sides. These trousers are ideal for the summer, as they are lightweight and practical.

The pattern of pants for women is modeled according to the pattern of women's trousers, which can be created according to one's own measurements.

Note! When creating a pattern for bloomers, you need to lower the crotch seam depending on your preferences.

Before sewing women's Afghani or Aladdin bloomers, the pattern is constructed as follows:

Based on the pattern of the front half of the trousers, the back half is modeled.

Afghani pants pattern

Then the result obtained is transferred to the fabric, parts are cut out, sewn on the wrong side and ironed. After completing all the above steps, the pants can be decorated depending on individual preferences.

Men's Aladdin pants

Bloomers are a comfortable garment that gives complete freedom of movement. It was not for nothing that in ancient times the military preferred to wear trousers rather than ordinary trousers, as they do now. Now this item of clothing has firmly entered the lives of modern women and men. Moreover, sewing bloomers with your own hands is not difficult. The most important thing is to choose the right material and take measurements. In this case, special knowledge and skills in the field of sewing are not required.

If the material is dense and opaque, then the top of the panties can be made narrower. If your hips are up to 100 cm, then with a width of 150 you will need as much fabric as the length you want to make the pants - with a height of 160-170 approximately 110 cm. The length is measured from the level at which, according to your plan, the top of the pants will be, to the floor. Please note that if you want to insert an elastic band along the bottom of the leg, you must add at least 10 cm to the length that seems normal to you, otherwise the pants will seem short and irritate you by tugging and pulling slightly. If the material is thin and its width is 90-115 cm, then you can safely make each pant leg as wide as the width of the fabric, and then you will need two lengths accordingly.

If you have chosen a synthetic fabric, for example, Korean chiffon, then, by and large, it doesn’t matter whether you lay the pattern along the grain or across it (accordingly, since its width is usually 110-115, 2 meters will be enough for you), because It does not shrink when washed or wet. If the fabric is natural, then it is better to follow the length (This means that the length of the product should be located along the edge of the fabric when cutting).

So you have your fabric. Consider the case if your pants are 110 cm long, not sewn at the sides. Cut it into two rectangles (if your fabric is 150 wide and 110 long, then 110 in the middle, if your fabric is 90-115 wide and 220 long, then across the middle). You get two rectangles 75-115 wide (depending on the width of the fabric) and 110 long. Place them together and fold both lengthwise in the middle. Pin together. From one of the edges on the fold side, set aside 15-20 cm along the fold, and 10 cm along the cut edge. Connect the dots with a smooth arc and cut. Lay out both parts without separating them and sew them along the arc. Separate the edges of the parts and sew them at the top and bottom by 5 cm. Pull an elastic band and/or rope through the top and two elastic bands at the bottom - the pants are ready.

We count the costs - chiffon costs 110 rubles. 2.20 long - 242 rubles. Elastic band 1.20 approximately 10 rubles. Suitable threads - 10 rubles. Total 260 rubles. It would be nice to put a sequin braid along the edges of the cuts, 1 meter is about 15 rubles, we need 4.5 meters 68 rubles. Total - 330 rubles.

There is one caveat. Korean chiffon is very sheer and can make you feel uncomfortable and self-conscious. If you have rich and long enough fringe on your belt, then don’t worry, nothing will be visible. Otherwise, you can sew or wear separately something like a skirt over the pants, made from separate pieces of irregular shape from the same or a suitable material. Depending on the desired length of this “skirt,” you will need an additional 0.5-1 m of material.

DIY oriental costumes for belly dancing: photo with description

If your daughter decides to take up oriental dancing, this means that you need to purchase or sew a bright, memorable costume. Many people sew it themselves. An oriental costume for girls and women will look quite good both on stage and in competitions. The type of costume, of course, will depend on the budget, desire and complexity of execution. This article will talk about how you can create such an outfit yourself and relatively inexpensively.

Oriental dance for soul and body

I am sure that anyone who has seen an oriental dance performed by a professional dancer will remember this vivid spectacle for a long time! Stunning plasticity, the ability to control her body, shining eyes, a smile and two hundred percent self-confidence - these are the trump cards that make a dancer irresistible.

In general, the name “oriental dances” combines a huge number of dances from different countries - Indian, Egyptian, Lebanese, Turkish, Greek, Arabic, Uzbek. Each country has many techniques for performing the same dance. But the most popular in Kazakhstan are classical Arabic and Turkish dances. This is what we call “belly dancing” - bellydance.

“Belly dancing has been associated with the cult of the fertility goddess since ancient times,” says teacher and oriental dance performer Angelina BUBLIKOVA

. – The belly symbolizes the feminine principle, and the mother is the earth, life, childbirth. Some scientists believe that belly dancing originated as a ritual in preparation for childbirth. By dancing, women strengthened and toned their muscles, thereby making childbirth easier for themselves in the future.

The history of oriental dances is multifaceted. They have been honed over thousands of years and brought to perfection. The gods were worshiped through dancing. But oriental dance has never been limited to just working the abdominal muscles and swaying the hips. This is a whole art!

Everybody dance!

Angelina has been interested in dancing since she was five years old and graduated from a choreographic school in Almaty. The girl knows the intricacies of many dance schools:

– In Egyptian dance, the movements are more flexible, smooth, closed costumes, in general, everything is more restrained. Turkish dance is more relaxed. In Turkey, I saw dancers performing Arabic dances. For myself, I no longer noticed the technique, but their emancipation: the presentation of the dance to the viewer was more vivid in terms of emotions. After all, dance should not leave anyone indifferent!

Turkish dance uses different techniques - games and hair swings, various attributes - musical instruments (tambourines, sticks, cymbals - two metal plates that beat time during the dance), candles. One of the elements of the dance is when the dancer holds a tray with burning candles on her head, and she also has burning candles in her hands. There are many options! The dance can be lyrical - with undulating, smooth movements, it captivates the viewer. Or incendiary, when the sounds of the drums and the movements of the dancer excite the audience and cause loud cheers.

There must always be a mystery

A special conversation is about the suit. Two thousand years ago, the outfit of an oriental dancer was much more restrained. Today it is more open and consists, as a rule, of a bodice, a long light skirt or harem pants, and a belt. All elements are generously decorated with beads, coins, and stones. During the dance, all this shimmers and plays with colors, attracting the eye. Without exaggeration, we can say: such a girl looks like the heroine of the fairy tale “A Thousand and One Nights.” But her openness should not be vulgar! And the dancer must remain a mystery.

The most popular costume attribute is a scarf, veil or shawl with coins sewn on. Oriental dances even have a special element - playing with a scarf. It is only at first glance that it seems easy to learn. The flowing fabric should turn into a pliable material in the dancer’s hands. And every wave of the handkerchief takes months to perfect!

When curvy figures are welcome

I'm wondering: how quickly can you master belly dancing techniques?

“Women with different abilities come to classes, and many mistakenly think that I can do a “wave” or “shaking” to music, which means I can do everything right away,” says Angelina. – Basic movements of oriental dance can be learned in a couple of months. But you need to be able to tie them together beautifully, present them...

There is an opinion that the more curvaceous the dancer is, the more interesting the dance looks.

“In fact, success does not depend on appearance, but on the ability to control your body,” says Angelina. – Either a skinny girl with a gorgeous figure or a curvier girl – both can move superbly. Indeed, in the Emirates and Egypt, when dancers are invited to work, they always look at their parameters - curvy figures are welcome. Lush means healthy, cheerful... I noticed: girls who dance professionally grow long hair, have a slightly protruding tummy, and ample breasts. It looks very beautiful in dance! But every girl can learn to dance, regardless of weight and age. It happens that some people have complexes – some because of their age, some because of their figure. Everyone can dance, from young to old. The main thing is desire and burning eyes.

Relieve stress and be happy for yourself

Why are women increasingly taking up oriental dancing, we asked professional performers.

Our other interlocutor, Almaty resident Asem ABULKHAIROVA

, has been dancing since the age of seven. She learned the basics of choreography in the “Ak Kogershin” ensemble and, at a young age, visited various countries and participated in children’s festivals. And at the age of 15 I became interested in oriental dancing:

– In my opinion, girls paid attention to oriental dancing because it is a great way to relieve stress. While dancing, a woman looks at herself in the mirror and admires herself, and this gives a charge of energy and vigor! I am an economist by training and work as a logistics specialist for an international company. But I can’t imagine my life without dancing. That's why I also teach. For me, this is a way to relax after a hard day, enjoy beautiful music and just be happy for myself - I can do that too! Dancing makes your posture more graceful, girls and women feel sexier and are proud of themselves.

“The desire to be beautiful, to move well, to get rid of excess weight - this often motivates many women who go to oriental dancing,” says Angelina Bublikova. “They change before our eyes: the figure tightens, self-confidence appears. And when this happens, the woman becomes even more beautiful and desirable, which means she is happy.

Down with problem areas!

Not only teachers, but also doctors talk about the benefits of oriental dances. A doctor I know, having learned that I spend a lot of time at the computer, advised me to go to oriental dancing.

After all, they involve not only all muscle groups - arms, legs, abdomen, hips, back, but also the eyes. Dance involves playing with the eyes of the audience, which is a kind of good gymnastics.

Dance is also useful for the spine: it develops plasticity and flexibility, especially for those who lead a sedentary lifestyle. And if a girl dances from a young age, she will never have problems with posture or scoliosis. In addition, dance is a good development of coordination and memory.

Of course, all problem areas are tightened - the stomach, thighs, chest muscles, arms and legs. While performing “belly dancing”, the upper and lower abs are thoroughly worked out. And from gynecologists I have heard the opinion that girls who are fond of oriental dancing have a much easier childbirth process.

Bellydance - tips for beginners

* Before going to your first lesson, you should consult your doctor. Perhaps he will recommend a lighter load. This is especially true for those who have problems with the spine, gynecological diseases, or have had abdominal surgery.

* You need to exercise at least three times a week. To achieve better results, on days free from dancing you need to do exercises and pump up your abs. It is best to practice in light, tight clothing, plus a belt with coins. It is necessary for the teacher to determine by the sound of the coins whether all muscles are correctly activated.

* If a woman sets herself the goal of losing weight, it is better to give up sweets and starchy foods. You can have a snack two hours before class - then you will feel light and have a flat tummy. After six o'clock in the evening, try not to overeat. You can eat an apple, a vegetable salad or side dish, a piece of boiled meat, or drink a glass of kefir.

* After the rehearsal, you should not drink a lot of water - literally two sips to moisten your dry throat. For those who want to lose weight, it is better not to drink for an hour or two.

* If time permits, it is best to practice oriental dancing in the morning. The body wakes up, and dance gives a boost of energy for the whole day. The body breathes, lives. In the evening the body is already tired, and a person cannot always give his best as in the morning.

Costume base

Typical stage oriental belly dance costumes are based on a base that includes a bodice and a belt. Why is it convenient to create such a foundation? The bodice and belt can be worn with a variety of bloomers and skirts. If the base of the suit is made in gold or silver colors, the trousers and skirt can be of any color. If the base is made, for example, in emerald or purple, the skirt for this outfit should be chosen to match.

A less expensive costume for beginner dancers would be one that is decorated with sequins and beads, as well as bugles, coins, fringe, braid and beads. Inexpensive acrylic stones can be added. In a more expensive version, Swarovski stones are used on jewelry. You can find a copy of the stones in the Chinese version. They are also glass, the quality is no worse, and the colors are different. All that remains is to decide on the color that will be the basis for the oriental beauty’s costume.

How to make a bodice?

If the costume is for an adult girl, you need to buy a regular bra, one size larger than the dancer’s bust. Why more? Because after the bodice is trimmed with decorations, it will shrink both under the bust and in the cup itself. Some girls who practice oriental dancing prefer to sew the bodice themselves, purchasing cups from the store. But this is a very difficult job. It’s easier to choose a ready-made bra for your chest, and then use it to make a bra for a suit. You should pay attention to how it sits on your chest. If something is wrong, it is better to choose a different bra.

First of all, cut it as shown in the photo below. We cover the cups with fabric selected for the suit. To do this, place the fabric face down on the cup to make darts. They are marked in the photo with a dashed red line. Sew them on a typewriter. We turn the fabric right side out and put it on the cup, trim off the excess fabric just enough to fold it inward and hem it.

Side straps are made as follows. Make a cut of the cut side straps on any dense material, lengthening it in the fastener area. This is done in order to have a fixed length of the strap, and not stretched, as in a bra. Place this cut on dublerin or any adhesive fabric. Trim excess fabric.

Instructions

  1. First you need to calculate the amount of fabric that will be needed to sew the product. To do this, you need to know the hip circumference, product length, ankle circumference, and seat height.
  2. The length of the product is measured from the waist to the floor. In addition, you need to add another 10 centimeters so that the trousers then gather beautifully at the bottom. And another 5 centimeters for the hem of the bottom and the same for the elastic waistband. For example, if the length you measured is 100 cm, then together with all the allowances the result is 120 cm.
  3. To measure your seat height, sit straight on a chair and measure the distance from your waist to the surface of the seat. For example, the seat height was 15 cm.
  4. You need to calculate the width of one pant leg. This is done according to the following formula: multiply the hip circumference by the coefficient on which the width will depend. The larger it is, the wider the pants will be. For example, hip circumference is 100 cm, and the coefficient is 0.75. The width of one trouser leg in this case is 75 cm.
  5. It turns out that if the fabric is 150 cm wide, its length should be 120 cm. If the fabric width is smaller, then you will have to take two lengths, i.e. 240 cm. You will also have to buy more fabric if the width of one pant leg is more than 75 cm.
  6. Now you need to transfer the calculations to the fabric. There is no need to make a special pattern. Take the fabric and fold it in half, and then in half again. There should be two folds on one side. To prevent the fabric from moving, secure it with needles or pins. From the side where the folds are, measure down the height of the seat from the top edge of the fabric. For example, if the seat height is 15 cm, add another 5 cm for the elastic band, i.e. you need to set aside 20 cm in length, and measure 10 cm in width. Round off the intersection of these two lines and cut out. Here later there will be step seams.
  7. Unfold the fabric and cut it straight down the middle. We ended up with two trouser legs that needed to be processed. Place the pant legs right sides together, baste, and then sew the crotch seams.
  8. Now you need to process the side seams. You can flash them completely. And you can make cuts. To make one large cut, overcast the edges of the legs. Sew them at the top and bottom for 5 - 10 cm. Then finish the edges of the fabric with a hem stitch along the entire length of the side cut. To make two cuts, sew the cuts another 1 - 2 cm in the knee area.
  9. Now you need to process the belt. Finish the cut of fabric with a hem stitch. Fold the fabric 1 - 2 cm and stitch along the entire circumference of the waistband, leaving a small hole for the elastic. Paste it.
  10. Process the bottom of the pant legs in a similar way. Insert and secure the elastic band. The bloomers are ready.

Sheathing material

Many people use satin, thick silk and velvet as lining materials. Undoubtedly, these fabrics look very beautiful, but they are more suitable for sewing the base for children's oriental costumes, where there is no bra, and the upper part is sewn in the form of a cut-down blouse covering the chest. Moreover, the more beautiful the fabric, the less effort you need to put into decorating it. In a suit for a girl, you can sew a belt together with trousers, as in the photo below.

Costume design

After the base of the costume is covered with material, you need to start decorating. You should decide what will be sewn or glued on the bodice and belt of the oriental costume. Beaded stones with hanging beads look much richer than a sequined suit. The work of embroidering sequins in combination with beads is the most labor-intensive. The bodice of the suit is decorated with the selected material.

There are belts that have a relief pattern with curved ends, as in the photo below. If you are going to sew an oriental dance costume with your own hands with a complex belt that contains cut-out parts, you need to think about how to make the openwork part solid. No matter how dense the fabric of the belt is, under the weight of the embroidery it will sag and the back surface will be visible. Here you need clamps, they can be wire or whalebone. In this case, the shape will hold.

The belt in the photo has intricate embroidery, and the hanging is made not with tassels, but with waves of small beads. The belt of an oriental costume has a center at the back. The front part of the belt does not have a center, this is convenient for the case when a young dancer gains or loses some weight and needs to increase or decrease the volume in the side seam.

The flower depicted in front lies as if on the side and looks impressive. It is more difficult to make changes to a belt centered in front and behind if the dancer's size changes. Therefore, before you start embroidering a belt, you should think about the above problem. You can make a fastener at the back using two strong Velcro strips. In this case, there is no need to embroider or narrow the belt. Just move the Velcro. It won’t be visible from a distance, but the belt looks solid.

Additional accessories for the costume

To create a memorable image of a dancer, bracelets on arms and legs, golden cords, and beautiful elongated earrings are used as additional decorations for the costume of an oriental beauty. The monisto that adorns the dancer’s neck looks original. During the dance, it makes a characteristic ringing sound and matches the color and style of the costume. It can be made from pearls, coins and glass beads.

To add charm and charm to an oriental dance costume, dancers use many different accessories: shawls and scarves, scarves and headbands, sleeves and gloves.

Where to start oriental dance lessons for adults

Most often, oriental dance training takes place in small groups. This is very convenient because it allows you to see errors in movements from the outside and better practice elements. Moreover, in women's oriental dance groups it is very interesting to communicate and spend time discussing new elements and costumes. The first classes are held in comfortable sportswear, but if you like this direction and plan to continue training, then the originality of the costumes is limited only by your imagination. Suits can be purchased ready-made or made to order. Many girls are so drawn into the culture of oriental dance that they try their hand at making costumes and elements with their own hands. Oriental dance costume includes:

  • bodice;
  • loincloth;
  • circle skirt.

Colors and design are not limited in any way. Complex headdresses are also an important element, but they are used only by confident dancers who can hold a complex structure while dancing. The bodice and headband are often embroidered with coins and pendants, which create additional sound during the dance. But for this you need to learn to move correctly and feel the rhythm accurately, otherwise it is very easy to get lost and not finish the dance harmoniously. Less often, instead of a skirt, translucent bloomers with bracelets on the ankles are used. Such costumes are also very interesting and give more freedom of movement in the dance.

Trousers

To sew harem pants, you can use a pattern of loose trousers. The best material for them would be translucent lightweight silk, knitwear or gauze. The details of the legs can be expanded, since the top will be made with elastic. The length of the trouser legs is taken 15-20 cm longer so that there is an overhang at the bottom. On the sides, the seams should not be continuous in the area from the middle of the thigh to the ankle. The unstitched sides of the legs can be decorated with metallic decorations, sequins, or any decorations that are harmonious with the basis of the suit.

Put the skirt on yourself and ask them to trim the bottom to fit you. You will see that the skirt sags in the front, so you will have to cut more at the front. Hem the bottom with a zigzag. Don't be embarrassed by the uneven hem; when you put the skirt on you will see that it is actually the same distance from the floor. Every seamstress knows this secret, and girls who sew an oriental costume with their own hands should know about it.

Universal tailoring of Aladdin trousers

In order to sew Aladdin harem pants, you do not have to be a professional seamstress. You can be a person far from applied art, but have the desire and imagination to sew an oriental masterpiece.

Indian Aladdin pants with mandala

To make amazing dance pants, here are the tips:

  • First you need to buy fabric, the length of the cut should be the same as the length of the trousers. To determine the length, you need to step on the length of the centimeter at the 0 mark, and then lift it to a height approximately up to the navel.
  • When choosing fabric, it is important to proceed from your wishes - will the trousers flow or keep their shape.
  • It is recommended to use all kinds of accessories to decorate trousers. Decor is an integral part of oriental clothing.

Aladdins - bright clothes for dancing
To sew simple but effective bloomers, you will need two pieces of fabric approximately 110 cm long (length is measured individually), the width is measured according to the waist or hips, allowances for seams and folds are added (if any).

Pattern for sewing Aladdin

The operating algorithm is as follows:
