Olive oil

There are many different shades of creams on the market. If you couldn’t find the right one, try mixing two creams until the desired color comes out. But this method is used only for small and not too deep cuts; it only masks the scratch and does not remove it forever.
Apply the cream to cotton wool and rub into the area where needed. If the color is well chosen, the scratch will become invisible. When choosing this method, be prepared that the shade may be slightly different, so it is better to use this method on that part of the sofa that is not noticeable.

To prevent the leather from cracking again in the future, you must first clean the product from dirt, then degrease the surface with alcohol or acetone, and only then apply a layer of paint. The substance sets within 10-30 minutes and dries completely in 2-3 hours. If the skin was applied to the surface unsuccessfully, then you need to wipe it with alcohol on top, and not a trace of the paint will remain.
Painting
Restoring artificial leather using this method helps to mask small cracks and scratches and return the product to its original appearance. Before starting the procedure, the damaged item must be cleaned of dirt, degreased with acetone or alcohol, then sprayed onto the surface with a layer of spray or aerosol that matches the color of the upholstery.

Padding
Repairing leatherette furniture using this method requires special tools. Using a wrench, you need to remove the side and back parts of the furniture, as well as the seat, and remove the brackets with a special tool. Before restoration, you need to prepare in advance a cut piece of fabric, which is subsequently stretched onto the surface. The material should be wrapped around the edges and secured with staples, each of which should be located at a distance of 4 cm from each other. Work should begin from the middle of the product, moving towards the edge. This will ensure even tension on the fabric.
Overlays
It is not possible to completely restore a leather sofa using this method. An overlay or appliqué is placed to prevent further growth of the crack. It will hide the defect, but will not remove it completely. Before gluing the application, you need to treat the damaged area with alcohol and fix the patch with special glue. How to remove scratches from leather shoes at home

Liquid skin
