Description
France is considered the birthplace of knitwear with a raised rib in the lobar direction. The material appeared in the last quarter of the twentieth century, and quickly became popular.
Knitted noodles are a medium-density fabric, stretchable, dense, soft and pleasant to the touch. A distinctive feature of the material is the presence of relief vertical stripes. Produced by knitting with alternating knit and purl loops on machines.
Knitted fabrics are produced plain-dyed with a predominance of neutral shades. The color range is wide, mostly muted colors: pink, burgundy, blue, variations of black, gray, beige, white.
Knitted noodles are rarely produced printed. The finished canvases are painted at the final stage using safe, environmentally friendly pigments. High-quality types of material do not form pellets on the surface and demonstrate high wear resistance.

Composition of noodles
What you should pay attention to when choosing a material: noodle fabric - composition. Cotton and wool yarn are used for knitting fabrics. Stretch fibers are added to increase elasticity. One of the types of noodles is a popular mixed knitwear made from viscose, polyamide and elastane (lycra, spandex) threads.
Acrylic, polyester and other types of synthetic and natural fibers are also used for knitting fabrics.
Production technology
In the production of knitted fabric, not weaving machines are used, but special machines. Whole-knit material is made by alternating purl and knit stitches in a 2x2 ratio; 3x3, less often - wider stripes, reminiscent of vermicelli according to the principle of English gum.
Staining is done at the final stage. The technological process uses environmentally friendly, safe dyes. The material is plain-dyed, plain. For the production of melange fabrics, pre-dyed threads are used.

Types of noodle fabric
A large group of knitwear is conventionally divided into types in which the composition of the raw material plays a key role. These can be natural, synthetic or mixed fabrics.
Sandra Noodles
Sandra is a warm, soft fabric with stretch and elasticity. The front surface has a smooth texture. The small scar is almost indistinguishable in the photo. Sandra melange knitwear is popular.
The composition of the raw materials is chemical with the addition of artificial threads. In the classic version, textiles are made from polyester (up to 67%) and viscose (up to 30%). To give additional elasticity, up to 3% stretch fibers are added.
Kashkorse
Kashkorse is a knitted fabric with a distinct vertical rib. Outwardly it resembles hand-knitted fabric. The ratio of knit and purl stitches can be different: 2x2; 3x3.

Recommendations for care
You can extend the life of elegant noodle knitwear items by following the rules of care and storage.
Wash items separately from others, having previously sorted them by color (dark and light). Requires gentle mode. The water temperature when washing should not exceed 40 degrees.
The use of bleaches, powders and aggressive agents is prohibited. It is recommended to use gels or liquids for washing.
Spin is performed at minimum speed of the washing machine drum. Dry flat with good air circulation.
It is necessary to iron strictly from the wrong side, not allowing the sole of the iron to heat above 130 degrees.
For storage, you need to turn the products inside out and fold them carefully. Cannot be hung on hangers.
The use of dry cleaning for noodle fabric products is unacceptable.
Proper care
Cleaning the products is not difficult. However, to preserve the original appearance for as long as possible, it is recommended to adhere to several rules:
- When washing, adhere to a temperature range not exceeding 40°. Soaking in boiling water can cause shrinkage if the item contains wool;
- Set the washing machine to delicate mode. It is advisable to give preference to the manual cleaning method;
- use fabric softener. The solution has a softening effect;
- avoid chlorine-containing products. Aggressive components destroy the fabric structure and “wash out” the color. Do not scrub stubborn dirt with a brush. Difficult stains can be removed by pre-soaking;
- do not twist when spinning. It is enough to squeeze it lightly with your hands. It is recommended to let the clothes drain naturally;
- dry horizontally, laying it on a cloth that absorbs moisture well. Leave until completely dry;
- Iron on reverse side as needed. Noodle products do not form folds or creases, so the heat treatment stage can be skipped. If ironing is unavoidable, turn on the steamer option. The absence of this function is compensated for by a gauze cloth folded in half. This prevents the surface of the iron from sticking to the pile;
- Follow the manufacturer's description on the label.
It is better to store clothes folded on shelves. It is recommended to choose a well-ventilated area. Avoid hanging on hangers. Staying in a “hanging” position for a long time negatively affects your form. Even new things can stretch out.
