What is special about apple and apple juice stains?
What is so special about apple stains and why are they so difficult to remove? The fact is that, in terms of their composition, the contaminants left by apples are the same as ordinary rust. The reason for this is the high content of iron and special enzymes that oxidize polyphenols. You can remove an apple stain from apple juice spilled on fabric, just like you can remove rust.
While the stain is fresh, just rinse the fabric under running water to remove traces.
Old stains are much more difficult to remove. To determine exactly how to wash apple juice, it is necessary to determine the composition of the fabric and clean it, following the recommendations given for contaminated material.
Basic rules for dealing with stains on children's things
Small children cannot boast of neatness when eating. For young parents, the question of how to properly clean children's clothes is especially acute; mistakes during washing significantly increase the risk of spoiling things, and incorrectly selected cleaning products can negatively affect the child's health, causing irritation on the skin.
Some rules on how to wash apples and other traces of dirt from children's clothing should be followed with special care:
- Before you start washing your children's clothes, read and follow the washing instructions. Usually the manufacturer leaves them on a tag attached to the clothing.
- Children's clothing must not be cleaned with active chemicals. Using children's laundry detergents will help resolve the issue of choosing household chemicals once and for all.
- If powder is not available, you can use folk remedies; they will help remove stains harmlessly to the fabric.
- The easiest way to remove a fresh apple stain on clothing is by washing the contaminated area under running water, and to enhance the effect, you can use laundry soap or dishwashing detergent. This will not be enough to remove old stains.
- Before you start removing apple juice stains from baby clothes, sort items by color and material. It is not recommended to machine wash adult and children's clothing at the same time.
- Before washing in an automatic washing machine, fasten all zippers and buttons on clothing.
- For natural fabrics, hand washing with pre-soaking in a soap solution is preferable.
About methods of cleaning fabrics from juices
You can clean clothes from stains using special industrial products or folk methods.
Folk remedies
Using folk recipes is often cheaper than buying store-bought chemicals. If you use them right away, you can often remove the stain without using industrial products. The disadvantage is the lack of universal methods. You will have to select a product to remove the fingerprint, taking into account the chemical composition of the drink.
You can clean a product with home remedies only if you are completely confident in the result or are ready to part with the damaged product.
If an expensive item gets dirty, it is better to go to a dry cleaner. Choose your product for children's clothing with care. A child may experience an allergic reaction due to the use of certain compounds.
Household chemicals
Most often, industrial products help quickly get rid of stains. Their main advantage is the ability to use them on products of any color. If you use the stain remover according to the instructions, you will be able to remove even stubborn, old stains.
To remove marks left a few minutes ago, you can use any washing powder.
The cloth is slightly moistened with water, after which the dirty area is covered with the product and rubbed from the edges to the middle. At the end of the procedure, it is recommended to machine wash the product followed by rinsing.
Bleach is suitable for treating light-colored T-shirts, skirts or dresses. It is better to buy a composition with active oxygen, since the active substance does not lead to a change in the shade of the fabric or damage to clothing.
Never leave chemicals on fabric longer than recommended. The compositions can corrode the material and negatively affect the quality of the print.
What's better
Industrial products cope better with pollution. They are more effective and versatile, which is why people often prefer them. The disadvantage of many folk remedies is the unpleasant odor.
When using vinegar, citric acid and a number of other compounds, you will have to use rubber gloves, since the substances can corrode the skin.
Folk remedies (for example, salt, soda) are good to use in the initial stages. With their help, you can carry out primary processing and prevent the pigment from penetrating into the deep layers of the fabric if it is not possible to wash the clothes immediately.
The main advantage of home methods is accessibility and low cost. Every housewife has suitable substances in her medicine cabinet or kitchen.
Each housewife decides for herself what exactly to use against stains.

Removing fresh dirt
In the fight against fresh pollution, the main thing is not to hesitate. Without allowing the stain to soak in, you can easily remove the stain:
- Fresh apple stains can be removed by placing the stained area under warm running water, squeezing it occasionally. This method will help remove apple juice, but will not be effective in combating other, more complex stains.
- When running water is not available, cover the contaminated area with table salt or table soda. This will prevent dirt from being absorbed and will help remove stains from clothes during washing.
- To wash applesauce, use table vinegar diluted with warm water in the proportions of 1 tablespoon of vinegar per 250 ml (one glass) of water. Pour the vinegar solution onto the dirt on the back of the clothing, and blot the fabric with a napkin on the front. This will transfer dirt from the fabric to the napkin. When soiled, replace the napkin with a new one and repeat the procedure until the fabric is completely clean.

In addition to cotton swabs, ammonia and peroxide, the following will help in resisting pollution:
- vodka;
- steep pitch;
- acid or lemon;
- egg yolk;
- salt;
- glycerol;
- table vinegar;
